C8 Manual Transmission Swap

The wait is over, you can now swap a manual transmission into your C8 Corvette! Peitz Performance has teamed up with the fine folks at Tremec to offer you a truly unique driving experience in your C8. At the heart of the swap is the Tremec TR9060 designed to offer a robust and quick shifting gearbox for your driving pleasure. The TR9060 will support approximately 1000 lb ft of torque and 8600 RPM per manufacture specs, but we are not afraid to push the boundaries here at Peitz Performance. 

Design & Mechanical Features

• Integrated Differential: Features a built-in mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD) to properly manage high-horsepower power delivery to the rear wheels.

• Cable-Controlled Shifting: Standard operation relies on a cable-actuated shifting mechanism positioned on the left side of the transaxle housing, allowing builders flexibility when routing shifters in custom chassis.

• Concentric Slave Cylinder: It incorporates an integrated concentric slave cylinder for clutch actuation. Discussion on r/ManualTransmissions indicates that opinions are mixed regarding this choice; while some users find them slightly more tedious to service down the road, others acknowledge its necessity in an exotic, tightly-packaged mid-engine setup.

C8 Packaging

• Take advantage of the countless hours of research and development put forth by our team so you can seamlessly integrate this manual transaxle into your C8. 

• Our integration package includes everything needed to get you shifting gears in no time, including but not limtied to a custom shifter, cables, clutch pedal and hydraulics. Not to mention all electronics required to make your car start and still utilize the factory amenities you have come to know and love from your C8. 

Note: Currently the Peitz Performance Motec Plug and Play package is required for proper installation. The plug and play package is in final stages of development and will be in full form quarter 1 of 2027. Transmissions will be available July, 2027.

Motec Plug and Play Highlights

• Engine control via Motec M182 allowing you full control of your C8. If you are a pure race enthusiast and want every feature possible, here is your answer. Peitz Performance has developed a package which allows you to take full advantage of your existing aftermarket modifications and bring your C8 performance to levels not possible using a factory engine control module, such as motorsport grade traction control, rolling anti-lag, adjustable launch control and many more features. 

• Transmission control via the Motec M150 allowing you to take full advantage of the Tremec TR 9060 such as upshift ignition cuts and downshift blips while collecting critical data such as gear position, transmission fluid temperature and clutch pedal position.

 • Customizable features and endless possibilities allowing you to truly make a unique driving experience. With Motec and Peitz Performance custom firmware programming potential, we can make your dreams come true. While we have tried to develop and integrate as many features as we can, there are so many more options which we can consider for your build. Some examples include, but are not limited to, interchiller control strategy, nitrous control, methanol and so much more.
